I could see enjoying this one with a big bowl of Irish stew on a cold winter's night. Had a good, hearty 'substantial' feel to it going down and for me was a good little winter ale. Not one of the high-priced winter ales from Iceland, England or the like set aside in the store in a place of honour, just a good little beer produced in Toronto. Granted I don't have the same refined palate for beers as others here, but to my humble tastes this one surprised me in a good way. Had a bottle of Black Creek Historic Brewery's stout last night. ![]()
