Different play styles and items are unlockable for people used to a more modern complete stealth experience like Splinter Cell Blacklist. Little Easter eggs to the creator's favorites like Ocarina of Time are sprinkled throughout which makes the story a bit more fun. It's not without glitches, but is very well designed. Light drains your magic, shadows restore it. You don't hide bodies, you send them through a shadow portal. There is no jump button instead you teleport. The shadow mechanic is very fun once you master it. They are packed with a myriad of branches and options you can use to approach the same goal. Honestly surpassed all my faves in the genre like Tenchu Z. The water, the fire, the night sky are all beautiful. The shadow system is pretty stylish as well. There is clear anime influence in the characters. Graphics: Artsy cell shading not quite as astounding as Journey or El Shaddai, but certainly well above Wind Waker the graphics are gorgeous and very well done. I was honestly keeping my hopes down and not expecting this much polish. I've bought or imported every single Tenchu or Shinobido ever made so when this game was being compared to a 3d Mark of the Ninja I couldn't resist. It is hard to find good Ninja stealth games. I've bought or imported Absolutely was not expecting this level of quality in an indie game. It’s got all the important aspects down to a tee and the best thing is that it remains intriguing throughout which in turn means it’s quite difficult to put down when you get started, and for that reason it gets a big thumbs up from me.Absolutely was not expecting this level of quality in an indie game. At the end of the day fans of anything stealth related will thoroughly enjoy what Aragami: Shadow Edition has to offer. The sound design has also been implemented really well and even though it lacks when it comes to a story the sound design still combines with the visuals really well. Visually the game has a great dark and mysterious look to it which immerses you in the gameplay immediately. Without a doubt one of my favourite things about the game was the presentation side of things. This included mode also adds even more content to the game and in the end you really do get very good value for your money. Everything about my online experience remained smooth throughout and playing the game this way meant that no game ever played out the same way which in turn gave the game quite a bit of replayability. I must admit that I was very eager to try out the online co-op mode and thankfully it delivered in all areas. Whilst playing on your own is very fun indeed the best way to enjoy this game is when playing with a co-op partner. This edition of Aragami features all the DLC and when you see the amount of variety the content has it will no doubt keep you satisfied for quite a few hours. This is a good thing because in terms of content the game has quite a lot for you to sink your teeth into. Whilst there may not be any issues here the game does suffer with a few technichal issues every now and then, but thankfully none of these issues are too much of a problem and in the end you do end up forgetting about them quite quickly. I’m not exaggerating when I say that performing these stealth kills never gets boring and the combat on the whole feels fluid and responsive at all times thanks to the fantastic controls. Obviously the biggest draw with this game is it’s stealth kills and combat. Speaking about the mechanics this game doesn’t just boast excellent stealth mechanics in fact it has a number of different mechanics in play at the same time and they pretty much combine together flawlessly throughout your time with the game, which is great. Thankfully Aragami: Shadow Edition does get those mechanics right and to say I enjoyed my time with the game would be quite the understatement. For me there’s nothing more satisfying than creeping around and performing a stealth move to despatch your enemy, and when these mechanics are For me there’s nothing more satisfying than creeping around and performing a stealth move to despatch your enemy, and when these mechanics are done well I end up having a very enjoyable experience with that said game.
